Abbotsford permit values fall on commercial permit losses
Second month of gains in residential permits not enough to offset decline in non-residential permits
VANCOUVER, October 5, 2012 – Building permit values in Abbotsford declined 25 per cent in August 2012 from July 2012 due to a drop in non-residential permits, according to Vancouver Regional Construction Association’s analysis of Statistics Canada Building Permit Report. Meanwhile, residential activity rose 28 per cent in July on a month-over-month basis.
